McCabe & Mrs. Miller (Robert Altman, 1971) Trailer
This movie recommendation is easy. It takes place in Washington, I believe, and snow figures prominently into it. Also, my friend Cate is visiting a Western Museum today. If you don't know, try guessing whose music was used for the film:
I think it was supposed to be in Washington, but I just looked it up and it was filmed in BC. It's great, and I always think of it when it snows. What are the other two movies?
An absolutely beautiful movie, and soundtrack. It's one of the 3 movies I own. I was never clear where it was set, or filmed. Washington, or BC?
ReplyDeleteNick,

Don
The other 2 aren't worth mentioning!
ReplyDeleteI'm getting worried about commonalities in our backgrounds ;) Were you ever at Berkeley?
Nick,
ReplyDeleteOh my. I was an undergraduate and graduate student in philosophy and linguistics at Cal. I lived in Berkeley from 1975 until last March.
I guess that constitutes being at Berkeley.
Take care,
Don
It's getting weirder!
ReplyDeleteI was at UC Berkeley 75/76 on 3rd year exchange BA Philosophy. Where I was introduced to Quine (his books, not the man himself).
