May 22 (Bloomberg) -- Venezuela’s central bank said its officials haven’t certified any fake bonds and called on bond purchasers to verify any instrument before buying it.

The bank, in a statement on its Web site, denied a claim by prosecutors in Italy that bank officials had certified fake bonds that were later sold by organized crime syndicates.
