Great post. Check this out:

"The Lehman CDS auctions come amid continued pressure on the credit derivatives sector – part of the vast, unregulated over-the-counter derivatives market – to be more closely monitored by regulators.

On Friday, the Federal Reserve held a meeting in New York to push for the creation of a central clearing house for the credit derivatives market. Lehman’s bankruptcy was complicated by the fact that, as well as having many derivatives linked to the bank, it also acted as a counterparty on many others."

How will these be monitored?
