Wither Economic Libertarianism In The Democratic Party

There is main thread to economic libertarianism in the Democratic party. It is the following: If we can move more resources to the truly needy, and then grow the economy such that there are fewer and fewer of the truly needy, then, even in economic terms, this will mean less government over time. The goal is to have a growing economy that lifts all boats, making sure to amply provide for the truly needy as we grow. Surely that is a practical and possible outcome.

In other words, less government and economic growth for the less well-off in our society are the goals. Until then, a social net worth it's name and money is necessary.
